The New Yorker Magazine Chess Set is illustrated by Christoph Niemann, a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and an artist with work in MoMAs collection. Pieces include taxi cabs as pawns, pigeons as knights, the Brooklyn Bridge as rooks, the Statue of Liberty as the queen and more. The New Yorker Magazine Chess Set is made from wood and paperboard.
