About The Artist:Anatoly Dmitrievich Kaigorodov was a Russian painter known for his evocative landscapes, seascapes, genre scenes, and portraits. He was born in Saint Petersburg, the son of a natural scientist, and began his artistic training at the Baron Stieglitz School of Fine Arts. Following the Russian Revolution, he moved to Tallinn, Estonia, where he had a studio for painting. His work is rooted in Russian landscape traditions, with a particular focus on light, water, and atmosphere. Today, his paintings are held in major collections including the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, and the Estonian Art Museum.
