From The Artist: Danish painter Henry Brokman was an accomplished oil painter who, at the invitation of a friend, traveled to southern Italy in 1893 and stayed in Sorrento. It was from his sails of the Italian coast that the inspiration came for many of his popular modern seascapes, including Misty Bay.
