About The Artist:Lajos Csordk (also known as udovt ordk) was a Slovak-Hungarian painter known for his Impressionist-inspired landscapes. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Julius Mak. His landscapes often depicted scenes of rural life, villages, and natural surroundings, especially those from the East Slovak region. He worked primarily with pastels, which allowed him to express a delicate and nuanced portrayal of light and color. Many of his works evoke the simplicity and serenity of rural settings, often with a focus on the interplay of light on natural forms.
