About Singapore Toile
Exclusively available at Inside, this enchanting Singapore-themed design has been created by the artist Mariko Jesse, one of Hong Kong’s most successful commercial artists. The toile features Singapore icons both old and new, from heritage buildings to modern architectural marvels, such as Supertree Grove and Marina Bay Sands. A celebration of Singapore’s rich and diverse natural environment, with orchids, traveller’s palms, a reclining leopard, toucans, a chicken and her chicks (inspired by the ones we see at Cluny Court) and a pangolin. Food is not forgotten – spot the chili crab, a colourful layer cake and a ‘no durian’ sign. The glorious colour palette of greens, pink and gold is inspired by Singapore’s peranakan culture.
