About The Artist:German painter and art theorist, Adolf Hlzel was known for his role in the transition from Impressionism to abstraction. He began his career with naturalistic and Symbolist works but later became a key figure in modern art through his explorations of color and form. As a teacher at the Stuttgart Academy, he influenced many important artists, including Oskar Schlemmer and Johannes Itten. Hlzels theories on color harmony and spiritual expression in art helped lay the groundwork for movements like the Bauhaus.
