About The Print: A winter stream flows quietly through a grassy marsh beneath a mountain range and a lone peak standing off in the distance. Mixed-media on board. (pastel, acrylic, pencil and watercolor)
From The Artist: ” Inspired by photos my sister takes of her hikes in Colorado and we laugh as I tend to only go in the dead of winter even though I hate snow. Vast and peaceful colors that are timeless to a season, a modern spring palette with hints of green and a large emphasis on air and white space. Inspired by fishing and the movement of water or changing of the tide. I was also painting this one for a show in Northern South Carolina where they tend to like mountains more than marshes. So even though Colorado was the mountain scape that inspired Calder, I wanted to people to resonate with it, like it could be anywhere, or long to be there.“
