About The Artist:Victor Westerholm was a Finnish painter whose works often depicted scenes from Finnish folklore, as well as intimate portraits and landscapes. He studied in both Finland and Paris at the Barbizon school, where the emphasis on painting en plein air and capturing the effects of light and atmosphere on the landscape obviously influenced Westerholm’s own approach to his art.
