About The Print:Leaves I and II are a duo featuring abstract leaf shapes, painted in black ink on an ivory-washed parchment.

From the Artist: Along the banks of our cabin’s creek, we have sycamores, oaks, junipers, ash and willows. I have dozens of photos in my camera roll of the patterns made from fallen leaves, but somehow none of the photos quite capture the complex shapes and the texture. This series was an attempt to capture the abstract essence of the organic patterns found in nature.
